GOST Flanges
GOST is a standards family. A flange enquiry requires the exact GOST number, edition and designation to identify the intended connection.
Complete the standard designation
Obtain the full reference from the project specification or original equipment records. Identify the flange type, nominal size, pressure designation and material. A country or regional origin is not a substitute for the governing dimensional and material requirements.
Mating surface and dimensions
Facing designs and designation systems need to be checked against the specified document. Record the mating face, bolt pattern, bore and required pipe connection. Do not infer equivalence to EN, DIN or ASME flanges from nominal size alone.
Procurement translation and records
Keep the original technical designations with any translated enquiry so numbers and grade suffixes are not lost. Confirm material substitutions, inspection records and marking language where relevant. Resolve any conflict between a drawing and the named standard before manufacture.

Standard scope and ordering designation
Use GOST only within its applicable scope. Obtain numerical dimensions and rating tables from the governing standard and the approved project documentation.
